Difinity Digital delivers AI-driven safety monitoring for real-time human detection and PPE compliance across high-risk industrial sites.
The client operates multiple high-risk construction and manufacturing sites where strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols, helmets, safety vests, and masks are mandatory.
However, the existing surveillance setup was limited to passive recording. There was no real-time monitoring, no automated enforcement, and no immediate visibility into safety violations as they occurred.
As a result, these violations were identified only after incidents or during manual audits. This delayed response increased preventable risks, created compliance gaps, and made it difficult to consistently enforce a strong safety culture across worksites.
“Passive cameras were not enough. We needed eyes that could understand and alert us the moment a safety rule was broken. Difinity Digital’s AI system transformed our surveillance into a proactive safety partner, giving us real-time compliance oversight we never had before.”
With zero tolerance for safety lapses and increasing regulatory scrutiny, the organization understood the need to move beyond traditional surveillance. They needed a system that could autonomously monitor worksites 24/7.
The client sought an intelligent system capable of continuously monitoring worksites, identifying human presence, and detecting PPE non-compliance in real time, without relying on manual intervention.
This presented an opportunity to prevent incidents before they happen, ensure continuous audit readiness, and build a data-driven safety ecosystem.
The existing surveillance system relied on passive cameras that only recorded footage, making safety monitoring dependent on time-consuming manual reviews that did not scale across active worksites. There was no way to detect PPE violations as they happened, which forced safety teams to respond after the fact rather than prevent risks in real time.
Detection accuracy also had to account for changing site conditions such as lighting, weather, movement, and physical obstructions. Any solution needed to work with the current camera setup and scale smoothly across multiple locations.
Additionally, large volumes of unstructured data offered little practical insight, as safety managers lacked a clear, centralized view of violations, trends, and high-risk areas.
Difinity Digital implemented an AI-powered safety surveillance system integrated with the client’s existing camera network. Using computer vision, the system continuously monitors work zones to detect worker presence and identify PPE violations such as missing helmets, safety vests, or face masks in real time.
All detections are displayed in a centralized Safety Surveillance Dashboard that provides a live command-centre view of site conditions. The system also sends instant alerts to site supervisors through dashboards and mobile notifications and automatically records each violation with visual evidence for compliance and reporting purposes.
“This project was about moving from watching to understanding and acting. We transformed static cameras into an intelligent safety layer that doesn’t just record, it recognizes, reasons, and responds. The dashboard turns real-time data into a powerful management tool for preventive control.”
