SoftBank Launches AI Powered Cybersecurity Service with OpenAI

SoftBank Group has launched Patching as a Service a new cybersecurity solution developed in partnership with OpenAI. The service is designed to help organizations identify security vulnerabilities, plan remediation strategies, and strengthen defenses against increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled cyber threats.  

The solution will initially focus on protecting critical infrastructure and enterprise systems in Japan through SoftBank and OpenAI’s joint venture. The launch highlights a growing shift toward using AI not only to enhance productivity but also to proactively defend businesses and essential services from emerging cybersecurity risks.
