Meta Launches Muse Spark 1.1 and Opens Its AI Models to Developers

Meta has unveiled Muse Spark 1.1, the latest version of its multimodal AI model, alongside the new Meta Model API in public preview. The release gives developers direct access to Muse Spark for building AI-powered applications, with enhanced capabilities in coding, debugging, multimodal reasoning, and agentic workflows. Meta is also offering free API credits to encourage early adoption.  

Muse Spark 1.1 is designed to handle complex, multi step tasks across text, images, videos, and documents while supporting tool use and computer interactions. The launch marks Meta’s first commercial AI API offering and signals a broader push into the enterprise AI market, positioning the company to compete more directly with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
