Mistral AI Launches Vibe, a Unified AI Agent for Work and Coding

Mistral AI has unveiled Vibe, a unified AI agent designed to handle both workplace productivity and software development tasks. The platform combines long-running task automation, research, workflow management, and coding capabilities into a single AI system, launching with dedicated Work and Code modes. 

Vibe can manage multi-step tasks across connected tools, generate reports, assist with research, and support coding workflows directly from the web, terminal, or IDE through a new VS Code extension. The launch reflects Mistral’s broader push into enterprise AI and its effort to compete with platforms from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.
